Lee Boon Chye confirmed as deputy health minister

KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad confirmed today that Dr Lee Boon Chye has agreed to be his deputy.
Expressing appreciation, he said that he is looking forward to working with him in steering the healthcare sector.
"I am so glad that finally, he has agreed. This was after some talking and persuasion, despite him wanting to continue his practice.
"I am thankful that I will be assisted by a cardiologist," he told reporters after a surprise visit to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur and the newly constructed Women and Children's Hospital.
