MACC nabs 3 cops from Seberang Jaya

GEORGE TOWN:The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested three policemen from the Seberang Jaya police station, as it continued its crackdown on corruption in the police force.
MACC state director Datuk Abdul Aziz Aban said the policemen aged between 26 and 28 were detained on Saturday night between 4pm and 11pm over alleged bribery.
"All suspects has been issued six days remand order by magistrate court this morning.
"Suspect will be investigated under Section 17 (a) of the MACC Act", he said.
It was believed all suspect were detained in a separate location by MACC.
When contacted Central Seberang Prai police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid confirmed the arrest of the three police personnel by MACC.
