One killed, two injured in two-vehicle collision in Senawang

SEREMBAN: A tanker driver was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle collision at Km251.6 North-South Expressway (PLUS) near the Senawang toll early today.
State Fire and Rescue assistant director (Operation) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the accident, which occurred at 3am, caused the tanker which was transporting chemicals to overturn.
"The tanker driver, in his 30s, died at the scene while the two women in the Toyota Vios vehicle were seriously injured and sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban for treatment," he said when contacted by Bernama.
The body of the victim was also brought to the hospital for post mortem.
Ahmad Mukhlis said 20 personnel from the fire stations in Senawang, Seremban 2 and Rembau rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 3am.
Cleaning work was currently being carried out with traffic plying up to four kilometres heading to the south, he said. — Bernama
