Pharmacy Bill to be finalised and tabled soon: Subra

KUALA LUMPUR: The proposed Pharmacy Bill is expected to be finalised soon and tabled in Parliament, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said.
He said the bill would be given the green light for tabling once it received clearance from the Attorney-General's Chamber.
"Generally, everything is okay but the only issue was who has the right of dispensing (medicine)," he said.
"We feel the current system should be allowed to operate while liberalising it a bit so it will give patients more choice in getting the medicine," he told a press conference after opening the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council's Insight 2017 at Connextion-VE Hotel.
