Police seek witnesses to drug case

MALACCA: The Malacca Central Narcotic Crimes Investigation Division has urged two men to come forth as witnesses in a hearing under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, at the Malacca High Court in May.
Its assistant investigating officer, Inspector A. Arvindraj said Yap Chee Wei, 28, and Leon Haw Qin Yuan, 26, were required to attend court at 8.30am on May 8, 9, 11 and 12.
He said, Yap's last known residence was at 513-1, Batu 6 1/2, Tanjung Minyak, Cheng, while Leon's was No 199-C, Jalan Kesidang 2/1, Taman Kesidang, here.
"However, we have not been able to locate the two individuals who are required as witness in connection with cases in Bandar Hilir and Tengkera on Oct 24 2015," he said in a statement here today.
Arvindraj urged members of the public who had information on the individuals to contact him at 016-5055405 or at the division's line at 06-2838334 or any nearby police station. — Bernama
