Retaining wall of school collapses after downpour

MUAR: The retaining wall of a rural national primary school here collapsed following heavy rain on Monday night.
No causalities were reported in the 8pm incident.
State Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Executive Chairman Ismail Mohamed, who is also the state assemblyman for Bukit Serampang, when contacted, said, SK Bukit Kepung is built on a slope, and has a retaining wall on the slope to hold the building structure.
He said, besides the retaining wall, there was also a single storey building and three storey building side by side.
The landslide hit the one storey building and needed some strengthening works.
