Scientex share price continues to rise on higher Q1 earnings

PETALING JAYA: Scientex Bhd's share price continued to rise by 1.05% this morning, after its net profit for the first quarter ended Oct 31, 2017 rose 39.1% to RM72.40 million from RM52.06 million a year ago.
At 10.46am, the stock stood at RM8.67 with 76,100 shares changing hands. It has a market capitalisation of RM4.15 billion.
Scientex told the stock exchange yesterday, the higher earnings was due to better sales from manufacturing and property development.
Its revenue increased 23.2% to RM658.68 million compared with RM534.68 million in the preceding year's corresponding quarter.
