BALING: The National Anti-Drugs Agency (Nada) has detained four siblings, including a single mother, for allegedly turning their home in Kuala Ketil near here into a drug den.
Baling Nada chief Mohamad Nasir Md Radzi said the woman and her brothers, aged between 18 and 28, were picked up at the house in an anti-narcotics operation, dubbed "Ops Cegah", at 1am today.
"However, their father, who is in his 40s, managed to escape (during the raid).
"Their activities have disrupted public order in the area and there have been theft cases too," he said in a statement here.
Mohamad Nasir said the woman's three-year-old son was also at home at the time of the raid.
All the unemployed siblings, who tested positive for drugs, were being detained to facilitate investigations under Section 3(1) of the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983 (Amendment 1998), he added. — Bernama
