Stop work order issued after fatal accident at construction site

PONTIAN: The Johor Occupational Safety and Health Department (DOSH) has issued an order to stop all construction work at a high-rise construction site near Pekan Nanas here following a fatal accident.
Its director, Saiful Azhar Mohd Said, issued the stop-order yesterday that four workers fell down from a roof beam while working at a height of 10.8m on the construction site at Jeram Batu, at around 12.30pm on June 25.
He said the stop-order took effect immediately and the case will be investigated under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and Factory and Machinery Act 1967.
