Two men and a woman claim trial to insulting Najib on Facebook (Updated)

KUALA LUMPUR: Two men and a woman were charged with posting offensive content about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak on social media.
The trio claimed trial when the charges were read out to them before Sessions judge Zainal Saleh.
Nor Sabariah Abdul Kadir, 29, a recruiter, was charged with posting offensive comments about Najib on Facebook at 5.11pm on Feb 1, 2017.
Ng Thai Quen, 18, was charged with posting an offensive image of Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor on Facebook on Dec 15, 2016.
While Mazlan Yusoff, 48, a roti canai seller, was charged with posting an offensive statement and image of Najib on his Facebook account at 2.53am on Nov 11, 2016.
Sessions judge Zainal Saleh granted them bail of RM3,000 each with one surety and fixed Oct 27 for mention.
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s head of prosecution, Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Sophian Zakaria appeared for the prosecution.
