Malaysia hancur Laos 5-1, kekal rekod tanpa kalah kelayakan Piala Asia

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia menampilkan kebangkitan bergaya pada separuh masa kedua untuk mencatat kemenangan 5-1 ke atas Laos pada perlawanan keempat Kumpulan F Kelayakan Piala Asia 2027 di Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil.

Aksi separuh masa pertama menyaksikan skuad Harimau Malaya menguasai sebahagian besar permainan namun ketumpulan penyudah serta ketangkasan penjaga gol Laos Kop Lokphathip menafikan beberapa peluang keemasan tuan rumah.

Laos mengejutkan pasukan negara kendalian Peter Cklamovski pada minit ke-20 apabila mendahului menerusi rembatan kencang Chanthavixay Khounthoumphone dari luar kotak penalti yang terkena kepala Shahrul Saad sebelum bola menerjah jaring.

Memasuki babak kedua Malaysia tampil lebih bertenaga sebelum episod kebangkitan bermula dengan gol penyamaan menerusi sepakan percuma pemain sayap Mohamad Faisal Abdul Halim pada minit ke-59.

Romel Morales menjadikan kedudukan 2-1 apabila menyempurnakan gerakan satu-dua bersama Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi pada minit ke-65 sebelum menyempurnakan gol ketiga hasil hantaran Dion Cools enam minit kemudian.

Malaysia melebarkan kedudukan selepas pemain pertahanan Laos Khammanh Thapaseut tertampan bola ke gawang sendiri pada minit ke-79 sebelum penyerang gantian Paulo Josue melengkapkan pesta jaringan Harimau Malaya dengan gol kelima pada minit ke-82.

Kemenangan ke atas Laos menyaksikan pasukan negara mengekalkan rekod tanpa kalah selepas empat perlawanan untuk mendahului Kumpulan F dengan mengumpul 12 mata.

Selepas ini Malaysia dijadual berdepan Nepal pada 18 November dan akan menamatkan saingan kumpulan menentang Vietnam di Hanoi pada Mac tahun depan. – Bernama
