Polis Melaka nafi halang ambulans, siren dalam video milik polis

Polis Melaka jelaskan anggota trafik tidak halang ambulans, siren dalam video tular milik polis yang kawal lalu lintas untuk konvoi pelabur China.

MELAKA: Polis Kontinjen Melaka menegaskan anggota trafiknya tidak menghalang pergerakan sebuah ambulans seperti didakwa dalam video tular.

Ketua Polis Melaka Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar berkata bunyi siren yang kedengaran dalam rakaman itu adalah milik polis yang sedang menjalankan kawalan lalu lintas.

Beliau menjelaskan anggota sedang mengiringi konvoi 18 bas delegasi pelabur dari China semalam.

Konvoi itu bergerak dari kawasan Rehat dan Rawat Pintu Gerbang Ayer Keroh bagi tujuan promosi pelancongan negeri.

“Ketika konvoi tiba di persimpangan lampu isyarat Jalan Taming Sari, anggota trafik bertugas menghentikan aliran trafik,” katanya dalam kenyataan.

Dzulkhairi berkata anggota melihat sebuah ambulans Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia berhenti di lorong kanan dengan lampu ‘beacon’ merah biru dihidupkan.

Ambulans itu didapati tanpa siren dan tanpa lampu isyarat kecemasan ketika itu.

“Penilaian dibuat atas justifikasi sekiranya ambulans itu dalam kecemasan akan menggunakan lorong kiri serta membunyikan siren,” jelasnya.

Beliau berkata ambulans terbabit beratur seperti kenderaan lain semasa kawalan dibuat.

Selepas bas terakhir konvoi melepasi kawasan berkenaan, anggota trafik meninggalkan lokasi.

Dzulkhairi menegaskan ambulans itu masih berada di lorong kanan tanpa bergerak serta tanpa bunyi siren kecemasan.

Kejadian itu berlaku kira-kira jam 10.30 pagi semalam.
