MM Computer Systems secures Bursa Malaysia approval for ACE Market listing

KUALA LUMPUR: MM Computer Systems Bhd (MMCS) has received approval from Bursa Malaysia for its listing on the ACE Market, marking a key milestone in the group’s initial public offering (IPO) journey.

The listing exercise is managed by Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd, which acts as the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter, and placement agent, while SCS Global Advisory (M) Sdn Bhd serves as the corporate finance adviser for the IPO.

MMCS managing director and CEO Young Yoong Chang said the approval from Bursa Malaysia marks a key milestone in the company’s corporate journey.

“We are grateful for the unwavering support and guidance provided by our stakeholders and advisers throughout this process, and we remain focused on executing the next phases to expand our business presence and deepen customer impact,” he said in a statement.

MMCS is an IT solutions provider operating through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Micro Technology Solution Sdn Bhd (MTS) and SMIND Sdn Bhd (SMSB).

With more than 23 years of operating history through its subsidiaries, the group has built a track record in delivering IT infrastructure and networking solutions, cybersecurity solutions, and IT outsourcing services to government-linked companies (GLCs), enterprises and corporations, as well as resellers who sell IT hardware and software and provide IT solutions across Malaysia.

SMSB is a Tier 1 Malaysia Digital Status company, which entitles SMIND to income tax exemption.

The group’s business model combines project-based design, implementation, and configuration of IT solutions with recurring revenue streams from long-term maintenance and technical support services, supported by a certified technical workforce and long-standing client relationships across multiple sectors.

Over the years, the group has received numerous recognitions from global principals, including Platinum Tier Partner status from Dell Technologies Inc, Elite Partner accreditation from Trend Micro Inc, Silver Solution Provider designation from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co, Gold Partner status from Sangfor Technologies Inc, and Ruijie Networks Co Ltd, as well as Silver Partner recognition from International Business Machines Corporation (IBM).

These accolades underscore the group’s strong sales performance and the depth of its certified professional workforce.

The capital market listing is intended to support the group’s continued growth as an established IT solutions provider by enabling it to pursue additional projects and contracts and to broaden its solutions portfolio in line with evolving technological trends.

Excluding currency translation effects, the group recorded a strong normalised year-on-year growth of 14.5%, underpinned by robust local-currency demand across Latin America, India and the Middle East.
