Isu tong LPG libatkan PPKB 2021, bukan akta kawalan bekalan 2022 – Armizan

KUALA LUMPUR: Isu berhubung penggunaan tong gas petroleum cecair (LPG) bersubsidi adalah melibatkan Peraturan-Peraturan Kawalan Bekalan (Pindaan) 2021 (PPKB (Pindaan) 2021) dan bukannya Akta Kawalan Bekalan (Pindaan) 2022 (Akta A1652) seperti yang difahami sesetengah pihak, kata Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

Armizan berkata pada sidang media yang diadakan Khamis lepas berkenaan isu LPG, beliau merujuk kepada akta PPKB (Pindaan) 2021 yang telah digubal kementerian itu pada 2021 dan berkuat kuasa mulai 15 Okt 2021 serta diwartakan dalam Warta Kerajaan Persekutuan.

Sehubungan itu, beliau berharap tiada kekeliruan timbul dalam kalangan rakyat berhubung perundangan yang dimaksudkan dalam isu penggunaan tong LPG.

“Pada sidang media 5 Jun lepas, secara jelas saya sebut Peraturan-Peraturan Kawalan Bekalan (Pindaan) 2021. Pada sidang sama, kenyataan media juga telah diedarkan… saya merayu janganlah kelirukan rakyat dengan rujukan kepada undang-undang yang saya tidak sebut,” katanya melalui Facebook hari ini.

Pada sidang media itu, Armizan memaklumkan peniaga mikro dan kecil dalam sektor makanan serta minuman dibenarkan terus menggunakan tong LPG bersubsidi tanpa perlu memiliki permit khas hingga pindaan baharu PPKB 2021 dimuktamadkan Oktober ini.

Dalam tempoh peralihan itu, katanya tiada tindakan undang-undang akan diambil terhadap golongan peniaga berkenaan.

Terdahulu, terdapat pihak mendakwa semua kedai makan dikehendaki menggunakan LPG untuk kegunaan komersial iaitu silinder gas berwarna ungu 14 kilogram berharga RM70 satu tong, berbanding silinder gas berwarna hijau untuk kegunaan domestik RM26 satu tong.
