Calon Warisan Kuala Pilah PRU15 mengaku tidak bersalah tipu urusan pembalakan

JELI: Bekas calon Parti Warisan (Warisan) bagi Parlimen Kuala Pilah pada Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-15 (PRU15) mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Majistret, di sini hari ini, atas tuduhan menipu wang seorang lelaki, dua tahun lepas.

Mengikut kertas pertuduhan Datuk Azman Idris (gambar), 55, didakwa memperdayakan Chin Yet Lun, 37, dalam urusan pembalakan yang tidak wujud sehingga mangsa menyerahkan wang sebanyak RM171,500 ke dalam dua akaun bank tertuduh.

Wang itu dimasukkan ke dalam akaun OCBC Bank dan Standard Chatered Bank di Mukim Belimbing Batu Melintang, di sini, antara 27 Sept hingga 10 Dis 2021.

Azman didakwa mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara hingga 10 tahun dengan sebatan dan boleh didenda, jika sabit kesalahan.

Kes dikendalikan Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Nur Kamilah Che Ibrahim, manakala tertuduh tidak diwakili peguam.

Terdahulu, Nur Kamilah memohon mahkamah untuk menawarkan jaminan RM30,000 dengan seorang penjamin serta syarat tambahan pasport tertuduh diserahkan kepada mahkamah.

Bagaimanapun Azman dalam rayuannya memohon jaminan tersebut dikurangkan kerana pendapatannya tidak menentu selain terpaksa menanggung isteri dan empat orang anak.

Majistret Nik Habri Muhamad kemudiannya membenarkan ikat jamin sebanyak RM15,000 dengan syarat tambahan iaitu pasport tertuduh diserahkan dan menetapkan 31 Dis ini sebagai tarikh sebutan semula kes.

Pada PRU15 lepas, Azman tewas kepada Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan dari Barisan Nasional dengan hanya memperoleh sebanyak 333 undi dalam pertandingan lima penjuru. -Bernama
