A secondary school in Johor has taken an extreme approach to curb vaping among students — by tearing down the walls of its toilet cubicles to make the area fully visible.
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Air Tawar (SMArT) decided to remove the partitions after repeated incidents of students using the toilets to vape and engage in other misconduct.
The school’s principal shared that the move was meant to send a strong message to offenders and prevent the toilets from being misused as private hideouts.
