TFC coach urges team to rebound from FA Cup setback for JDT match

Terengganu FC coach Badrul Afzan urges players to recover from FA Cup disappointment and focus on Super League clash against JDT.

TERENGGANU FC players have been urged to overcome their disappointment and concentrate on their upcoming Super League match against Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Head coach Badrul Afzan Razali acknowledged that the team’s failure to reach the FA Cup semi-finals had affected player morale and motivation.

He expressed confidence that his squad could recover and deliver a strong performance to secure at least one point in their home game.

“There is some disappointment, but I can see the players bouncing back and showing positive energy during training sessions,” he said when contacted.

Badrul Afzan emphasized the importance of forgetting the previous defeat and focusing completely on remaining Super League fixtures.

He advised his players against being overly cautious against JDT, warning that fear could disrupt their rhythm and playing style.

The coach stressed that TFC must maintain defensive discipline and avoid minor mistakes that could prove costly against strong opposition.

“All players must stay disciplined, communicate well and play as one unit,” he explained.

He noted that even small errors could lead to conceding goals when facing a team of JDT’s caliber.

Only three players remain sidelined with injuries: striker Yan Mabella, midfielder Muhammad Akram Mahinan and goalkeeper Muhammad Rahadiazli Rahalim. – Bernama
