Toilet water leak ruins car at Putrajaya mall parking lot

A Putrajaya mall visitor’s car was soaked and damaged by leaking toilet water in the parking lot, leaving a bad smell

A casual visit to a mall in Putrajaya turned into a “stinky” ordeal for Khadijah Ghani.

In Threads, she shared that after parking her car and shopping, she returned to find the vehicle drenched in toilet water.

“The piping was leaking badly. And it was toilet water too. The car ended up smelling awful. I moved the car first before taking the photo,” she wrote.

Photos she shared showed water pooling on the parking lot floor where her car was parked. The vehicle also had sticky watermarks across the roof, sides, windows, and door handles.

Netizens suggested she request compensation from mall management, but Khadijah said her multiple attempts to contact them went unanswered.

When asked by @fzvnsky if she could find a car wash, she replied she couldn’t because it was already nighttime and had to wash the car at home.

“Tomorrow we’ll go wash it again at the car wash. I didn’t want to get angry since it’s the fasting month, but my husband still lost his temper earlier,” she added.

Another user, Aisyah, recalled almost facing a similar incident. “I once tried to park in some area, can’t remember exactly. When I looked above, it seemed like it was leaking, so I said it’s definitely not safe. I had to find another parking spot.”

Khadijah added that there were no issues when she initially parked. “When I parked, there was no leaking at all. I was only there for just over an hour, where we entered at 8:45pm and left at 10pm. Suddenly, the car was completely soaked and smelled awful.”
