Two lawyers infected with Covid-19 getting better

KUALA LUMPUR: Two lawyers of the Malaysian Bar who tested positive for Covid-19 are now on their way to recovery, its president Salim Bashir said.

“The Malaysian Bar has almost 20,000 lawyers, and I only have knowledge of two lawyers that have tested positive for the Covid-19.

“The Bar will assist in whichever way we can to ease the problems faced by lawyers during this tumultuous period,“ he said when contacted by Bernama.

Salim also advised lawyers to take all necessary preventive measures, including staying at home and to minimise social contact.

The implementation of the Movement Control Order entered its eighth day today and the masses have been told to stay at home in the effort to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission in the country.

In line with the order, courts across the country closed from March 18 to March 31. - Bernama
