KPJ Centre for Sight to host public talk on cataract

MOSTLY related to ageing, cataracts commonly affect older people, where the clouding of the lens in the eye progressively affects vision. Though it cannot spread from one eye to the other, cataracts can occur in either or both eyes.

The risk of having cataract increases as one gets older, but other factors may also affect it such as certain diseases like diabetes, personal lifestyle choices like the consumption of alcohol and smoking, and even environmental factors such as prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light.

If you would like to know more about the causes of cataract, head on over to KPJ Centre for Sight’s branches in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur and Rawang for a Raya Open Day and Cataract Public Talk on June 29, July 6 and July 13 respectively.
