Other equipment includes wide all-terrain tyres and reverse sensors, the latter being standard specifically on the new automatic variant.
MITSUBISHI Motors Malaysia has launched the Triton Single Cab Automatic Transmission (AT), giving its workhorse pick-up a more convenient option for buyers who do not want a manual gearbox.
Priced at RM107,980 on-the-road without insurance for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia, the Single Cab AT costs RM3,000 more than the manual version.
It is offered exclusively in Solid White. The Triton continues to be imported into Malaysia as a completely built-up (CBU) model from Thailand.
The biggest change is, naturally, the automatic transmission, which Mitsubishi says is aimed at reducing driver fatigue for businesses, farmers, contractors and other commercial users who spend long hours behind the wheel or regularly deal with stop-start traffic.
Mechanically, the Triton retains its 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine producing 184PS and 430Nm. It also continues to use Mitsubishi’s Easy Select 4WD system, while a rear differential lock is fitted as standard.
Payload capacity remains up to 1,145kg, while the cargo bed measures 2,340mm long, 1,580mm wide and 515 mm deep. Mitsubishi also includes a bedliner as standard to protect the load area during commercial use.
Other equipment includes wide all-terrain tyres and reverse sensors, the latter being standard specifically on the new automatic variant.
The Triton Single Cab AT comes with a five-year or 200,000km warranty. For a limited time, buyers who purchase and register the new variant will also receive RM4,000 in Diesel Support.
The new Triton Single Cab AT makes its public debut at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 at MAEPS Serdang, running from August 28 to Sept 6.
