A Sabahan driver took to Threads to share his frustration over poor road conditions in Sabah, comparing it to the roads in Peninsular Malaysia.

He also attached video of a road in Sabah riddled with potholes and uneven surfaces.
The post quickly drew reactions from fellow road users, many of whom echoed the same sentiment.
One netizen, azriyussof, commented that toll fees were far cheaper in the long run.
“Tolls are way cheaper than replacing or repairing absorbers, suspension and doing alignment. Better to pay toll as long as the road is smooth, right?” he wrote.
Another user, felveyeatika.ann, shared her experience travelling in Peninsular Malaysia, saying she was impressed by the condition of even village roads.
“Even the kampung roads were nice, right up to the front of the house. But in Sabah, it’s hard to say,” she commented, drawing attention to infrastructure disparities.
Meanwhile, davidpeternambi added a touch of humour to the discussion, warning that non-SUV vehicles would suffer even more.
“If this were a Honda Accord, it’d be finished. In one month, the car’s undercarriage would be destroyed,” he said.
