BUKIT MERTAJAM: A man has surrendered to police and confessed to killing his wife.
Penang Police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
A 28-year-old man presented himself at a police station today, stating his wife had died in their apartment on Jalan Tuna.
Officers who went to the scene discovered the body of a 44-year-old woman in a room.
An examination revealed the victim had suffered neck wounds caused by a sharp weapon.
The victim was a single mother of five who had married the suspect two years ago.
