SHAH ALAM: Police have detained a Nepalese man for allegedly committing bestiality on a cat and throwing it from the fourth floor of an apartment in Kota Kemuning.
Shah Alam district acting police chief Supt Ramsay Anak Embol said a report was received at 12.30 am yesterday from a resident who, along with her husband, saw the suspect naked and appearing to sexually abuse the animal.
“The complainant and her husband, who had just arrived home, saw a man behaving suspiciously from inside their car. Her husband then went up to the fourth floor of the building to confront the suspect, but he threw the cat from the floor and fled the scene.
“The complainant also recorded the incident using her mobile phone,” he said in a statement today.
Ramsay said that acting on the information, police arrested the 33-year-old man, a security guard at the apartment, at 4.45 am the same day.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 377 and Seksyen 428 of the Penal Code.
“The suspect has been remanded for five days from Nov 15 to assist in the investigation,” he said, urging anyone with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Inspector Mohamad Zulkifli Mohamad at 011-6958529. – Bernama
