Police raided a drug-processing lab in the Klang Valley, arresting six and seizing RM1.53 billion worth of cocaine, ketamine and MDMA.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have busted a drug-processing laboratory believed to be operated by an international syndicate.
Four raids across the Klang Valley last Tuesday led to the seizure of various drugs with an estimated street value of RM1.53 billion.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said three local men and three foreign women, aged 24 to 39, were arrested.

Investigations revealed the syndicate had rented a three-storey bungalow in Cheras and a property in Sungai Chua, Kajang.
These premises were used to process and store drugs before distribution to international markets.
Hussein said a total of 18,537 kilograms of cocaine, ketamine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) were seized.
“We believe the syndicate has been active since April and is suspected of using various methods to distribute the drugs, including shipping them in containers with falsified information declared in Customs forms,” he said.
Police also seized three vehicles, two forklifts and a lorry with a total estimated value of RM389,000.
Investigations found the three local men acted as storekeepers managing the premises used as the illegal lab.
The three women arrested were their girlfriends.
Urine tests showed the three men tested positive for ketamine and methamphetamine.
One of the men has a prior drug-related criminal record.
All six suspects have been remanded for seven days until December 23.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. – Bernama
