Colleagues remember a cheerful nurse found dead with her husband in Sri Aman, as police investigate the double death under murder charges.
SRI AMAN: Colleagues of a woman found dead with her husband here are mourning the loss of her cheerful and friendly nature.
The 44-year-old victim, a nurse, was described as lively and approachable by senior nurse Awi Mahiden, 53.
“She was cheerful, gentle and always willing to help, and she always lifted the mood in the ward,” Awi told reporters at Sri Aman Hospital.
Another colleague, Benedict Engkasan, 30, said the victim was active in a dance group and known for her positive energy.
“Every time there was an activity, she was always cheerful, smiling and greeting everyone,” he said.
Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said the couple were found with serious injuries at a house in Taman Mutiara, Jalan Brayun.
Police received information from the public at about 6.55 am.
Initial examinations confirmed both victims, a 45-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife, had died at the scene.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The motive and cause are still under investigation, with evidence gathering and witness statements ongoing.
