The incident reportedly went viral on TikTok after a man using the account ‘Hazren Rich Empire’ conducted a live broadcast while dining at a restaurant.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have confirmed that a Russian woman lodged a report at the Dang Wangi Police Station yesterday, claiming she was humiliated by a male influencer using obscene language on the TikTok application.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities.

Yesterday, the media reported that the woman, through a post on Threads, said that she decided to file the report following advice from those around her who were concerned for her safety.

“I went to the police station, not out of anger, but staying silent only protects individuals who harm others. No woman should be afraid to defend herself,” she said.

The incident reportedly went viral on TikTok after a man using the account ‘Hazren Rich Empire’ conducted a live broadcast while dining at a restaurant. During the livestream, he allegedly recorded the woman without her consent and used obscene language directed at her.
