Free tents to help Titiwangsa people start business- Rina Harun

KUALA LUMPUR: In an effort to help ease the people’s burden in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, Titiwangsa member of Parliament Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun (pix, right) has taken the initiative to provide free tents to her constituents for them to start a business.

The Women, Family and Community Development Minister said for a start, 100 tents were donated to single mothers, persons with disabilities, housewives and those who have lost their source of income due to the pandemic.

“I uploaded this free tent initiative which will be distributed in stages on my social media on April 5 and did not expect to receive an encouraging response from the public.

“It is hoped that this effort will to some extent help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” she told reporters after handing over the contribution in Desa Pandan, here today. – Bernama
