Kuala Lumpur roads close for 2026 MotoGP season launch

Major roads in KL city centre will be closed tomorrow for the 2026 MotoGP season launch, with police advising motorists to use alternative routes.

KUALA LUMPUR: Several major roads in the city centre will be temporarily closed tomorrow to facilitate the 2026 MotoGP Season Launch.

The Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department said closures would be implemented in stages from 2 pm to midnight.

Chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the full closure of Jalan Ampang will affect entry and exit routes from Jalan P. Ramlee or Yap Kwan Seng to Jalan Mayang.

The entry route from the Jalan P. Ramlee intersection to Jalan Persiaran KLCC will also be closed.

“The full closure of Jalan P. Ramlee near KLCC will affect the stretch from the Jalan Ampang intersection to the Jalan Pinang intersection,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Zamzuri advised the public to plan journeys in advance and use alternative routes.

He also urged motorists to follow instructions from police and traffic officers on duty.

The launch aims to promote Kuala Lumpur as a modern and competitive global destination.

“The Royal Malaysia Police seeks the public’s cooperation and understanding for any inconvenience caused by the road closures,” he said.

Commerce.Asia backs rise of creator-led brands with scalable execution model

Commerce.Asia executive chairman Ganesh Kumar Bangah said consumer trust is shifting away from traditional brands and increasingly toward creators, communities and personal relationships, driving the rapid rise of influencer-led businesses. However, he stressed that while launching a brand is easier today, scaling sustainably requires operational discipline, supply chain control, reliable fulfilment and structured capital planning. Speaking at the launch of vegan beauty brand Numinara by actress Diana Danielle, Ganesh said the brand’s RM1 million sales milestone in under six months highlights how creator-driven demand can translate into long-term growth when backed by strong execution and infrastructure.
