Malaysian embassy in Doha advises citizens to prioritise safety and remain vigilant as the Gulf region situation remains uncertain.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians in Qatar have been advised not to be complacent and to always prioritise safety as well as remain alert to developments around them amid the still uncertain situation in the Gulf region.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Doha said that, for now, embassy operations are continuing as usual and that it is updating information on the whereabouts of Malaysians in Qatar.

“Therefore, please update your and your family’s information through the eKonsular system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. If you have yet to register, please visit the eKonsular website: https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/register,” according to a notice posted on the embassy’s official Facebook page on Friday.

In addition, Malaysians transiting through Qatar are also encouraged to use the Foreign Ministry’s MyWorldAlert application to enable immediate assistance to be provided in the event of any emergency.

Malaysians in Qatar who require eKonsular assistance can contact +974 3374 6733 / +974 4483 6463 or email: [email protected].
