Negeri Sembilan MB announces 33,697 affordable homes approved, interest-free loans for poor, and Iris@Enstek Heights project completion by 2028.
SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan government remains committed to providing comfortable, quality, and affordable housing for all citizens.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said various initiatives are strengthening the housing sector to ensure safe, conducive homes.
“We always support efforts to develop housing that elevates the standard of living while balancing progress with environmental sustainability,” he said at the Iris@Enstek Heights project launch in Taman Bukit Enstek.
The project is being developed by New Times Development and Yayasan Negeri Sembilan with expected completion in 2028.
Aminuddin emphasized that high-impact housing requires close collaboration between government and private agencies.
The state government prioritizes strategic locations with access to employment centers, public facilities, and efficient transport.
By January last year, the state had approved 33,697 affordable housing units comprising various types.
“We are also providing interest-free loans for the underprivileged to build houses on their own land,” he added.
The Rumah Harapan Rakyat Negeri Sembilan Programme offers units at approximately RM85,000 each since 2021. – Bernama
