Atom Malaysia allocates RM1 million for infrastructure projects in Kampung Tangga Batu Kechil under the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative
MELAKA: The Department of Atomic Energy Malaysia has allocated one million ringgit to implement various infrastructure projects in Kampung Tangga Batu Kechil under the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative.
Its director-general Noraishah Pungut said the projects would include constructing and paving village roads and establishing a multipurpose community space.
She added that the initiative would also provide toilets for the elderly and set up tube wells while installing a solar system at the Ibadur Rahman Mosque.
Noraishah said the initiative under Kampung Angkat MADANI would benefit residents in three villages including Kampung Tangga Batu Kechil, Kampung Bukit Salleh, and Kampung Paya Luboh.
She explained that upgrading village roads including alternative routes to Sekolah Kebangsaan Tangga Batu would provide parents with a safer way to transport their children.
“The construction of tube wells can address water shortages during the dry season and assist residents in implementing large-scale programmes,” she told reporters here today.
Noraishah added that the installation of a solar system at the Ibadur Rahman Mosque supports the government’s net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
She spoke after the handover of Atom Malaysia’s Kampung Angkat MADANI and Sekolah Angkat MADANI officiated by Pantai Kundor assemblyman Datuk Tuminah Kadi @ Mohd Hashim.
Noraishah said that under the Sekolah Angkat MADANI initiative, one hundred thousand ringgit has been allocated for SK Tangga Batu to enhance education quality.
She mentioned that this includes providing Google TV for more effective digital and interactive learning for students.
The initiative also involves upgrading school infrastructure including maintaining the sewage system and installing fans.
It includes putting up school signs and purchasing new furniture including tables and benches in the canteen to improve student comfort.
Noraishah said these programmes allow the community to engage with the department beyond its regulatory functions.
She added that they give Atom Malaysia staff opportunities to assist residents and share knowledge while building human capacity at the grassroots level.
“This initiative is not only focused on physical development but also reflects the government’s concern,” she said.
Noraishah emphasised the commitment of all parties to ensure that no one is left behind in the country’s progress.
