Hannah Yeoh honoured with ISTAF Distinguished Service Award

Minister Hannah Yeoh receives ISTAF Distinguished Service Award for her leadership in hosting and developing international sepak takraw tournaments in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh has received the International Sepaktakraw Federation’s Distinguished Service Award.

The award honours her ministerial leadership and contributions to hosting international sepak takraw tournaments during her previous tenure as Youth and Sports Minister.

ISTAF cited her “exemplary public service, visionary leadership, and lasting impact on the advancement of international sepak takraw.”

The federation specifically credited her decisive support for the 2024 ISTAF World Cup held at Stadium Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur.

Her leadership ensured strong inter-agency coordination and high standards of professionalism at the event.

ISTAF also acknowledged Malaysia’s continued commitment to hosting the ISTAF World Cup in Kuala Lumpur in 2026.

Hannah Yeoh’s former portfolio was assumed by Sungai Petani MP Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari in last month’s Cabinet reshuffle.
