The Jelajah Ramadan 2026 programme strengthens community bonds and RTM’s public engagement, recognised as Malaysia’s longest-running CSR initiative

JOHOR BAHRU: The Jelajah Ramadan 2026 programme continues to unite communities and strengthen ties between Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and the public.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil launched the 14th edition of the flagship initiative here today.

He stated the programme has evolved from an annual activity into a symbol of RTM’s enduring commitment to direct community engagement.

Jelajah Ramadan is implemented by RTM’s Radio Programme Division and has run consistently since 2012.

The programme entered the Malaysia Book of Records as the Longest Corporate Social Responsibility Programme in Malaysia. This followed the implementation of 38 activities nationwide.

Fahmi said the recognition proves RTM’s role extends beyond delivering news and entertainment.

He added that the initiative aligns with the MADANI government’s emphasis on compassion and social sustainability.

“RTM serves as a bridge connecting the government and the people,” he said.

The minister highlighted radio’s enduring relevance in the digital age as a trusted daily companion.

“The voices of announcers accompany drivers on the road, traders at markets, fishermen at sea and farmers in the fields,” Fahmi said.

He described the output of RTM’s 34 stations as “waves of humanity and unity.”

Carrying the theme “Satu Suara, Satu Jiwa”, Jelajah Ramadan 2026 will run for 20 days until March 8.

It involves 15 vehicles and about 40 crew members travelling to 30 locations across all zones of Malaysia.
