NADI conducts security assessments after Johor break-ins

NADI is conducting security assessments and upgrading security at its centres in Johor following 13 break-ins recorded between September and December 2025.

JOHOR BAHRU: The National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) is conducting security assessments at affected centres following a series of break-ins and thefts in Johor last year.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said the measures include improvements to access control, strengthened physical surveillance and more targeted security awareness programmes.

These steps aim to reduce the risk of recurring incidents, enhance staff preparedness and strengthen the role of local communities in crime prevention.

MCMC said a total of 13 break-ins involving NADI were recorded in Johor between September and December 2025.

The incidents resulted in the loss of cash and damage to assets, compromising public facility security and affecting daily operations.

MCMC also expressed appreciation to the Royal Malaysia Police for their swift action in arresting suspects.

“The arrest of the suspects was the result of effective operational coordination and information-sharing between the Johor Police Contingent, together with MCMC and NADI management,” the statement said.

This integrated action enabled prompt investigations and helped identify a pattern of recurring break-ins at several NADI locations.
