Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin visited the Stadium Shah Alam Ramadan bazaar, where a RM90,000 digital coupon initiative aims to boost visitor traffic and trader sales.
SHAH ALAM: Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin graced the Santuni Bazar Ramadan 2026 programme at the Bazar Ramadan Stadium Shah Alam in Section 13 here today.
Upon arrival, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin was received by Selangor Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi, Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (PEKAWANIS) president Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, and Shah Alam Mayor Datuk Zabidah Safar.
Her Royal Highness also visited the booth of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and received a kit in conjunction with the Safe Internet Campaign, in addition to mingling with entrepreneurs under the Platform Selangor (PLATS) initiative at the bazaar.
Meanwhile, MBI Selangor Group chief executive officer Datuk Saipolyazan M Yusop said that this year a total of RM90,000 has been allocated through the PLATS Belanja initiative, which involves the distribution of digital coupons worth RM10 to visitors at 26 selected Ramadan bazaars in Selangor.
He said the allocation is expected to increase visitor traffic and in turn help boost sales for traders at the participating locations.
“Through PLATS Belanja, MBI Selangor is committed to ensuring that small traders continue to receive relevant support, including access to digital platforms that can enhance their efficiency and income.
“We believe this initiative not only makes things easier for visitors, but also helps accelerate the transition towards a more modern and inclusive cashless payment ecosystem,” he said.
