Zambry pays tribute to Bung Moktar as a principled leader

BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir remembers Bung Moktar Radin as a leader who strongly upheld his principles and contributed greatly to Sabah.

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir has paid tribute to the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

Zambry described Bung Moktar as a leader, friend and figure who always strongly upheld his principles.

He said the Sabah BN chairman consistently stood at the forefront of the struggle.

Zambry added that Bung Moktar had sacrificed much and contributed greatly to Sabah and the country.

“Thank you for all your services, sacrifices and contributions to the people, Sabah and the nation,” he posted on Facebook.

He extended his condolences to all of Bung Moktar’s family members.

“I pray that his soul is blessed with Allah SWT’s mercy and placed among the righteous,” Zambry said.

Bung Moktar, who was the Kinabatangan MP and Sabah UMNO chairman, passed away earlier today.

He died at a private hospital in Kota Kinabalu at 1.46 am.

In the recent Sabah state election, Bung Moktar retained the Lamag state seat.

He won with a majority of 153 votes in a six-cornered contest. – Bernama
