Police personnel and spouses cast early votes in the Kinabatangan parliamentary and Lamag state by-elections, with full polling set for Saturday.
KINABATANGAN: An early voting centre for the Kinabatangan parliamentary and Lamag state by-elections opened at 8 am today.
The centre is located at the Kinabatangan district police headquarters.
A total of 196 police personnel and their spouses are eligible to cast their ballots in the early voting process.

The voting centre is scheduled to close at 5 pm today.
The Kinabatangan by-election is a three-cornered contest involving Mohd Kurniawan Naim Moktar of Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman of Warisan and independent candidate Goldam Hamid.
The Lamag state seat by-election is a straight fight between BN’s Mohd Ismail Ayob and Mazliwati Abdul Malek of Warisan.
Both by-elections were called following the death of the incumbent, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, on 5 December last year.
The Kinabatangan constituency has 48,722 registered voters.
Lamag has 13,899 registered electors.
General polling for both by-elections will be held this Saturday, 24 January. – Bernama
