GRS unveils its “Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga” manifesto for Sabah polls, focusing on four core pillars and 16 strategies for state development
KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah launched its manifesto for the 17th Sabah State Election today, built upon the central vision of “Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga”.
GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said this vision is driven by four core pillars: Sabah First, Sabah Forward, Sabah Prosper and Sabah United.
These pillars will be translated into action via 16 strategies covering development agendas across various sectors.
“GRS is determined and promises to deliver on everything contained within this manifesto we are presenting,” he said during the coalition’s manifesto launch at the Sabah International Convention Centre.
He described the manifesto as covering all aspects of strategic development that are holistic and inclusive, aligned with the Sabah Maju Jaya direction.
The document encompasses economic, infrastructure, security, education, human capital development, environmental sustainability, and public welfare sectors.
It also includes the claim over Sabah’s rights as enshrined within the Federal Constitution.
The Chief Minister emphasised that GRS has demonstrated its ability to maintain stability and unity while delivering change and progress.
He cited the coalition’s capability and commitment over the past five years in laying a solid foundation for prosperity and well-being.
“Indeed, the struggle of GRS is by the people, for the people, towards an advanced and prosperous Sabah,” he stated.
Hajiji expressed confidence that GRS would secure strong support to win the 55 contested seats and form the state government again.
“Truly, GRS is the best choice for the people,” he added.
GRS is contesting 55 of the 73 seats in the state polls, with 33% of its candidates being new faces.
The Election Commission has set November 29 as polling day, with nomination day on November 15 and early voting on November 25. – Bernama
