Pejuang party not contesting in Sabah state election, EC clarifies

Election Commission corrects earlier announcement, confirms Pejuang has no candidates in Sabah state polls, with voting scheduled for November 29

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Pejuang Tanahair will not contest the 17th Sabah state election despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

The Election Commission retracted its initial announcement tonight, clarifying that no Pejuang candidates are running in the upcoming polls.

EC chairman had earlier told media that Lasius Miki from Pejuang was contesting the Kapayan seat during the nomination day press conference.

The commission now confirms six candidates represent Parti Perjuangan Rakyat instead of the previously stated five.

Sabah voters will cast their ballots on November 29 following early voting scheduled for November 25. – BERNAMA
