Pakatan Harapan launches Sabah state election manifesto with seven key agendas, focusing on infrastructure, education and economic growth
KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan today launched its manifesto for the 17th Sabah state election, focusing on core issues through bolder approaches.
Sabah PKR chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said the ‘Komitmen Pakatan Harapan Sabah’ outlines seven key agendas to ensure Sabahans enjoy deserved progress.
“Sabah Pakatan Harapan is not promising the impossible. We are being very practical,” he said during the manifesto launch.
The manifesto’s priority list contains 10 key areas to be funded through the return of 40% of Sabah’s revenue.
Mustapha said PH is ready to manage the return of Sabah’s 40% entitlement under the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Key priorities include resolving water, roads and electricity infrastructure issues while improving education and social welfare.
The manifesto also outlines seven guiding principles for the next five years, including protecting Sabah’s rights and strengthening accountability.
Other agendas position youths as key assets, drive high-value industries and empower women in development.
Mustapha said Sabah requires a ‘business not as usual’ approach to become a respected regional player.
He expressed confidence Sabah’s rights will be protected under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership.
“After five decades, only one Prime Minister has been willing to resolve MA63 issues, and that is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he stated.

PH is contesting 21 of 73 state seats with 12 PKR, eight DAP and one Amanah candidate.
Polling is on November 29 while early voting takes place on November 25. – Bernama
