Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor says GRS election win belongs to all Sabahans, pledging to continue SMJ development agenda with renewed mandate
KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has described Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s victory in the 17th Sabah State Election as a triumph for all Sabahans.
The GRS chairman thanked voters for granting him a fresh mandate to continue leading the state administration.
“This victory belongs to every one of you who believes in our vision, supports our efforts, and shares our dream for a brighter future for Sabah,” he said in a statement after his swearing-in ceremony at Istana Seri Kinabalu.
Hajiji attributed the win to the people’s unwavering support and confidence in GRS’s struggle.
He invited all Sabahans to celebrate the election outcome as the beginning of a new chapter focused on building a better future.
The chief minister reaffirmed GRS’s commitment to holistic development through the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya agenda.
“We remain steadfast in continuing the SMJ 2.0 blueprint, which focuses on four main pillars: Sabah First, Sabah Forward, Sabah Prosper, and Sabah United.”
Hajiji pledged the coalition’s full dedication to championing the hopes and aspirations of all Sabahans.
“Together, we will face challenges, seize new opportunities, and ensure that every voice, no matter how small, is heard and valued.”
The Sulaman assemblyman, now serving his ninth term, called for collaborative efforts between the people and government to drive state progress.
He urged all election opponents to embrace democratic spirit and work together for Sabah’s benefit.
“Let us build trust and commit to working collaboratively to serve the people effectively and for the overall good of Sabah.”
Speaking briefly to media outside the palace, Hajiji expressed gratitude for completing his swearing-in ceremony.
The 70-year-old chief minister took his oath before Head of State Tun Musa Aman in the early morning ceremony. – Bernama
