Warisan president Mohd Shafie Apdal faces four challengers in Senallang, while Bugaya sees nine candidates in Sabah’s state election
SEMPORNA: Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal faces a four-way contest for the Senallang seat in Sabah’s state election.
The incumbent is challenged by Datuk Marunda KK Ampong of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, Mohd Lipai @ Samsu Sundalu of Parti Impian Sabah, and Abdul Majid Angkulan of Parti Bersatu Sasa Malaysia.
In the Sulabayan constituency, Warisan vice president Datuk Dr Jaujan Sambakong confronts seven contenders.
His challengers include Bidin Jawa of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku and Abd Malik Abd Bool of Perikatan Nasional.
Other Sulabayan candidates are Hasaman Sagaran of Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri and Mohd Julpikar Ab Mijan of Pakatan Harapan.
Mat Roya@Abdul Mutalib of Parti Impian Sabah and independent Datuk Adillah Hamid complete the Sulabayan lineup.
Sumini Yasintus of Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah stands as the sole female candidate in Sulabayan.
The Bugaya seat features a nine-candidate contest involving Jamil Hamzah of Warisan and Noorudin Abd Hussin of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
Abdul Manan Indanan of Barisan Nasional and Maulana Unding of Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak also contest Bugaya.
Other Bugaya candidates include Jamil Abdul Gapar of Perikatan Nasional and Mohd Taha Mohd Dara of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku.
Suffian Ahmad of Parti Rumpun Sabah, Roslan Ali of Perjuangan Rakyat, and Arman Marasal of Parti Impian Sabah complete the Bugaya lineup.
The Election Commission has scheduled polling for November 29 with early voting on November 25.
