RMAF chief vows no compromise on misconduct, integrity issues

RMAF chief says stern action, including dismissal, awaits those guilty of misconduct after allegations of unauthorised entry and immoral activities at camp.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Air Force will not compromise on any form of misconduct or disciplinary breach.

RMAF Chief General Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris said this amid allegations of unauthorised entry and immoral activities at a military camp.

He confirmed a thorough investigation is underway into the allegations.

“Stern action will be taken in accordance with service regulations to safeguard the image, dignity and professionalism of the RMAF,” he said in a statement.

Muhamad Norazlan expressed regret over the allegations circulating on social media.

He stressed any form of immoral conduct within air bases is strictly prohibited.

Such conduct tarnishes the image and dignity of the RMAF, he added.

The chief stated he views every issue involving the discipline and integrity of officers and personnel very seriously.

Action could include dismissal from service for those found guilty.

Last Monday, the Ministry of Defence ordered the Malaysian Armed Forces to conduct an internal investigation.

This followed viral social media claims about unauthorised individuals entering camps and immoral activities on premises.

Allegations have circulated since last Sunday involving outsiders and military officers.
