Education director-general says no official reports lodged; protocols in place as social media rumours circulate.

PUTRAJAYA: The Education Ministry has assured that the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination questions remain secure, amid circulating rumours of alleged leaks on social media.

Education director-general Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad said that although no official reports have been received, the Ministry is aware of the claims circulating online.

“From what I have seen, we have not received any official reports.

“However, we have obtained information from social media,” he told reporters at SMK Putrajaya Precint 11(1).

Mohd Azam stressed that the matter is being handled by the Malaysian Examinations Board.

“I am confident they have procedures in place because I have served as director myself.

“We have established protocols to address issues like this,” he said.

He also reassured students, saying that SPM questions remain secure and urged them to focus on their preparation.

The claims circulating online reportedly involve advertisements offering guaranteed grades, including Grade A.

The 2025 SPM commenced today, with over 413,000 candidates nationwide taking the first paper, Bahasa Melayu.

The examinations have returned to the traditional November–December schedule after previously being conducted in February in past years.
