MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in parts of Pahang, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan until 1 pm today.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for four states and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
The alert is effective until 1 pm today.
MetMalaysia said thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in parts of Pahang and Johor.

The affected areas in Pahang are Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, and Bera.
In Johor, the warning covers Mersing and Kota Tinggi.
Similar weather conditions are forecast for several divisions in Sarawak and a district in Sabah.
The Sarawak areas are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Betong.
In Sabah, the warning applies to the Interior division, specifically Kuala Penyu.
Warnings are issued when signs indicate thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20 millimetres per hour.
Such conditions are expected to occur or persist for more than an hour.
Thunderstorm warnings are short-term alerts valid for no longer than six hours per issuance. – Bernama
