UK’s ex-prince Andrew leaves Windsor home amid Epstein scandal

Former prince Andrew has moved out of his Windsor home as new Jeffrey Epstein documents intensify pressure, with a second alleged victim making claims.

LONDON: Britain’s former prince Andrew (pic) has moved out of his home on the royal Windsor estate.

Media reports state his departure from the Royal Lodge mansion came earlier than planned and under cover of darkness.

The move follows the release of a new batch of US Justice Department documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew, 65, is under renewed pressure to explain his appearance in these documents.

He continues to strenuously deny any wrongdoing.

Buckingham Palace has so far declined to confirm the reports.

Andrew is now reportedly living at Wood Farm, a former residence of his late father Prince Philip on the king’s Sandringham estate.

A second alleged Epstein victim has claimed through her lawyer that Epstein sent her to Britain in 2010 to have sex with Andrew.

The lawyer’s letter alleges this was to occur at the 30-room Royal Lodge.

Another document in the DOJ cache alleges Andrew and Epstein pressured a woman hired as an exotic dancer for a threesome in 2006.

“At his home, Mr Epstein introduced my client to his guest Prince Andrew,” the lawyer’s letter states.

It adds that the pair “prevailed upon her to engage in various sex acts”.

Thames Valley Police told AFP any new information about such offences would be assessed.

King Charles III stripped Andrew of all his royal titles and military affiliations last year.

The monarch also ordered him to leave Royal Lodge, where he lived for two decades with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Ferguson was also stripped of her duchess title and is seeking a new home.

The latest document release includes photos of Andrew kneeling over a clothed woman.

It also contains emails inviting Epstein to Buckingham Palace to talk in “private”.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said Andrew should testify before the US Congress.

Andrew stepped back from royal duties in 2019 over his links to Epstein.

Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex crimes.

Prince Edward, Andrew’s younger brother, commented on the unfolding controversy in Dubai.

“It’s really important, always, to remember the victims and who are the victims in all of this,” he said.
