Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin reach Malaysia Masters final

Malaysian pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani storm into the Malaysia Masters final after beating Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the semi-finals.

MALAYSIAN professional pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani cruised into the title decider of the 2026 Malaysia Masters after defeating compatriots Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik in the semi-finals today.

The world No. 9 duo produced a commanding display to upset the world No. 2 pair 21-18, 21-12 in just 33 minutes at the Unifi Arena here.

The victory marked only their third win over Aaron-Wooi Yik in nine meetings.

“I think today’s win does not mean they (Aaron-Wooi Yik) are not good. I think they were under too much pressure. They were not at their best,” Sze Fei said after the match.

Meanwhile, Nur Izzuddin said their calmness on court was the key to securing the victory.

Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin will face Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard in the final after the Danish pair defeated Malaysian national duo Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King 21-19, 21-17 in 49 minutes.

“Perhaps today’s defeat was due to energy levels, maybe our energy had dropped. We really wanted to win, but the opponents played better than us,” said Wan Arif.
