FAM disciplinary committee clears secretary-general Noor Azman of document falsification, reinstates him after suspension over heritage players case.
KUALA LUMPUR: Football Association of Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Noor Azman has been cleared of wrongdoing and reinstated to his position.
The FAM Disciplinary Committee found him not guilty of, or linked to, the document falsification case involving seven heritage players.
“The FAM Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Datuk Dr Baljit Singh Sidhu, convened and, after taking into account the period of suspension imposed on him as well as the report of the Independent Investigation Committee dated Dec 15, 2025, decided to reinstate Noor Azman to his duties as FAM Secretary-General with immediate effect,” FAM said in a statement.
It added that the decision shows Noor Azman was only involved in administrative negligence.
His suspension, which began on Oct 17 last year, has now been ended.
The case was referred to the disciplinary committee after the FAM Executive Committee discussed an independent investigation report on Dec 22.
At that time, the executive committee decided to continue his suspension pending further action.
Noor Azman was originally suspended by FAM deputy president Datuk S Sivasundaram.
The suspension was related to a disciplinary decision concerning documentation for the seven Harimau Malaya heritage players.
