The 66-year-old coach returned to the Rome club this summer following the resignation of Marco Baroni.

Sarri previously managed Lazio between 2021 and March 2024, leading the club to a second-place Serie A finish in 2023.

Before becoming a full-time coach, Sarri worked as a banker and is a known heavy smoker.

His managerial career includes guiding Empoli to Serie A promotion in 2014.

He later led his hometown club Napoli to two Serie A runner-up finishes.

Sarri also managed Chelsea to Europa League glory in 2019 and won the Serie A title with Juventus in 2020.

Lazio currently sit eighth in Serie A with 24 points from 17 games. – AFP
